HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Breg Polar Care Cube works by filling a cooler with ice and water. Then, a hose circulates that ice water through a pad that’s attached to your body. This can provide motorized cold treatment for roughly eight hours. Every Breg Polar Care Cube typically comes with both a cooler and wrap-on pad that can be strapped to a certain part of the body.

The pads come with elastic straps to secure them to your body. The specific part of the body depends on which type and size wrap-on you get with your product. We’ll go over these different pads in more detail in the accessories section. So, Breg Polar Care Cube may also only come with the cooler itself. In addition to the product, you will also receive and transformer power supply.

HOW DO YOU USE THE BREG POLAR CARE CUBE?

To use the Breg Polar Care Cube you should begin by removing the lid. Then, add the cold water to the machine first, filling it to the waterline. Once the water is in, you can add the ice up to the ice line. Then, put the lid back on and keep the machine in an upright position. Now, it’s time to connect the main unit to the pads.

You can do this by pushing down on the two metal tabs. Then, when the tabs pop up, slide the connectors together. Once the pad is secured to your body, you can turn the machine on.

HOW LONG SHOULD YOU USE THE BREG POLAR CARE CUBE?

You should use the Breg Polar Care Cube for around thirty minutes. If the pain continues, then you can try using it for longer periods. However, you should lift the pad and check your skin every hour or so to make sure that there is no nerve damage.

HOW DO YOU DRAIN THE BREG POLAR CARE CUBE?

You can drain the Breg Polar Care Cube by holding the pad upright. Then, point the hose toward the area where you want it to drain. Slowly, depress the black plunger. The pad should drain completely.

HOW DO YOU MAINTAIN THE BREG POLAR CARE CUBE?

If you want to get the most of your Breg Polar Care Cube’s lifespan, then it’s important to clean and maintain it. You can do this by emptying the machine after use. Then, get a clean cloth.

Use this to completely dry the Breg Polar Care Cube after using it. Now and then you should also clean out the pump and tubes. You can do this by running warm water and mild detergent through them few weeks, or more if you use the product often.

ARE THERE ANY DRAWBACKS TO USING THE BREG POLAR CARE CUBE?

Unfortunately, the Breg Polar Care Cube isn’t perfect. Some users complain that the pump on the device gets too noisy after using it for a while. Others disliked the rubber material sheathing the hose. If used too roughly this material can come loose and cause leaks.

Like any cold therapy machine, there’s also the risk of frostbite. This occurs when you leave the machine on for too long without checking it. Having a barrier is not only recommended it is a must when using any cold therapy device. As such, you will need to be constantly vigilant for nerve damage when you’re using the Breg Polar Care Cube.

I previously mentioned incorrectly that I had purchased the Breg Polar, when in fact it is the Breg Cube. This is the simplest in the lineup and works great.

The Best Value

After my rotator cuff surgery, the Breg Polar was so easy to use! Provides circulating cold water that helped reduce the post-operative pain and swelling. Very solid construction, allowed me to not need pain medication at all for the immediate postoperative recovery. This is simple with no frills, and in my opinion the best value for your money. I will be adding a knee pad for an upcoming surgery at the end of this year.

Very happy with effectiveness and simplicity

Just has surgery yesterday and have been using the cube in recovery and post operative care. I do believe that the swelling in not too bad and pain when resting is actually a zero. As the medications are wearing off now that I am 24 hours post hip replacement I am more sore but so far have only needed 1 pain pill above the NSAID’s. Nurses used this model in the hospital so they were able to handle the filling and running of the machine .

Best investment

I got this unit for my shoulder surgery. The cold therapy allowed me to be pain free without narcotic pain relievers. I only had to take them for 3 days. The rest was this unit. It was a major contributor to my successful recovery. I use it today for other pain and it continues to provide quality relief.

Not worth the money

It was my fault I did not open this up until it was time to use it a few weeks ago. One of the plastic washers was bent on the tubes that insert into the knee pad. My husband was able to attach it and thankfully there were no leaks, so I figured it wasn't worth contacting the company about. Now, after only using it once a day for 2 weeks, the knee pad has a pinhole leak in it. Water shoots out of it while using. We are going to try and fix it with a vinyl patch. I'm not sure if it's a manufacturer defect, but it should have lasted longer than 2 weeks with light use. I made sure to detach everything and dry it out between uses, as per instructions. So I am going to stick with my flexible cold packs. I wish I wouldn't have wasted $200.00.

OrthoBracing.com does not provide a warranty or guarantee that a cold therapy product will treat your condition or relieve your symptoms. All cold therapy products have a minimum 30-day warranty.

WARRANTY

The almost all products sold on OrthoBracing.com are available for warranty replacement, if defective. If you have a question about the return eligibility of a particular product please submit a warranty claim form.

We reserve the right to limit multiple requests for warranty replacement on products that are deemed damaged by customer misuse, abuse, or failure to properly maintain the equipment to manufacturers' specifications.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Please email returns@orthobracing.com to initiate a return or exchange to receive an RA# after verifying your purchase is eligible for exchange or refund.

EXCHANGES

Orders made by mistake (i.e. a left instead of a right, medium instead of a large, Breg Polar Care Cube pad vs. Breg Kodiak Pad, etc.) are eligible for an exchange if the incorrect size or item was ordered.

All items must be in NEW condition to be exchanged (they cannot be used; plastic bag must be sealed for all cold therapy pads). There is no restocking fee but a return shipping fee will apply if OrthoBracing.com is asked to send a return label. Before shipping any product back, you must first obtain an authorization number (RA#) via email at the following address: CS@OrthoBracing.com.

RETURNS

Returns are accepted if returned within 14-days of delivery, are in NEW / UNUSED condition, are in their original packaging with documentation and the blue security tape is still 100% intact. If all conditions are met, a 25% restocking fee will apply. If not, we regretfully cannot accept it as a return.

Because cold therapy products come in contact with incisions after orthopedic surgery and use municipal water, we have to make the assumption that once they leave our facility they have been used. We cannot, in good faith, ship this type of merchandise to another patient and have them bear the increased risk of getting an infection. For you as a customer, we want you to know that all cold therapy products coming from our warehouse have not been used by another customer in any manner. All sales final on cold therapy products.

Before shipping any product back, you must first obtain an authorization number (RA#) via email at the following address: returns@OrthoBracing.com. The RA# must be written on the packing slip inside the box. Do not write RA# on product boxes and do not put return label on manufacturer’s packaging. Please ship returns in a study box.

OrthoBracing.com will not be responsible for lost return packages. Please provide tracking numbers via email if the sender is shipping back. Otherwise, OrthoBracing will send you a return shipping label and the cost of that shipping will be deducted from the refund.

Do not refuse the delivery of your order. Refunds will not be issued for refused shipments.
