Aircast® A2 Wrist Brace with Thumb Spica

Size
Left/Right
1 item left

  • The Aircast® A2 Wrist Brace with Thumb Spica is designed to provide support for wrist and thumb injuries from ligament instability, sprains, or jammed thumbs. The removable dual stabilizers located above and below the hand provide support for post-operation or after removing a cast or splint.

The thumb spica immobilizes the thumb to allow the thumb to heal. While the wrist and thumb are protected, you still have full finger movement. The adjustable straps offer a personalized fit while the Breathe-O-Prene material provides comfort and coolness. Ideal for daily wear.

Poorly made

Does the job but is poorly made. The thumb spica has a big piece of fabric that pushes and irritates your hand and the metal support running up the arm through the palm came apart and the metal slid out after only 5 days. Had to fix myself to put it back and make it usable, would not get this version again

Worked like a charm

My CMC joint and wrist flair with over use. I purchased this with the hope to complete yard work without pain. This worked like a charm to immobilize both my thumb and wrist while raking with the bonus, no pain. Yay!!!

Works well but is already falling apart

It has helped immensely but after having it on for 5 days and the seams are coming undone

MacKenzie,
Please e-mail us returns@orthobracing.com and we can file a warranty claim for you and ship you a replacement. We will need several pictures of the defective brace and that is about it--pretty simple and straightforward process.
Thank you, Customer Service

Exactly what I need

I had a brace like this years ago from the hospital when I broke my thumb, but unfortunately lost it. Recently it’s been bothering me again and I’ve been dislocating my thumb and wrist (completely separate condition). It provides the support I need and restricts the movement like it’s supposed to, much to my frustration as I adapt to being one-handed. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because the removable metal stabilizer on the bottom is next to impossible to get back in when you take it out to wash the cover. It took me 30 minutes and dislocating the thumb on my “good” hand to finally get the fabric to go over the end of the metal piece enough that it wouldn’t pop off again. I live by myself so I don’t have anybody with two functional hands to help me. The metal stabilizer on the thumb is super simple to remove and in fact sometimes slips out of its pocket. The thumb strap has started to fray after 2 months but nothing a little fray stop won’t fix. I’m considering getting a second one for my right hand so I can rotate them to reduce the need for washing and wear & tear on the straps and fabric.

Recieved wrong product

I received the wrong product I have since returned it and I am waiting to hear back from the company on whether they are going to ship me the correct product

Devin , I hope you are well. We got your package late yesterday. You wanted to exchange for a different size which is no problem at all. It will go out today. In the future, its always easier to email us at CS@orthobracing.com. We are always glad to help when a customer orders wrong size. Brace fitting can be tricky. As always thx for choosing Orthobracing.
