I've now been using the DonJoy Immobilizer brace during my shoulder surgery recovery, and overall I think it's an excellent product. It's comfortable, intuitive, and, most importantly, it doesn't make day-to-day recovery any harder than it already is.

One of the biggest positives has been how well it integrates with my Breg Polar Care Wave cold/compression system. I can easily undo the necessary Velcro straps or clips to position the therapy pad and perform my prescribed exercises without having to completely remove or disassemble the brace. That may seem like a small detail, but when you're recovering from shoulder surgery, minimizing unnecessary movement is a huge plus.

The only constructive feedback I have is on a couple of minor ergonomic issues. The small red retention ball at the end of the abduction pillow tends to work its way out and fall off fairly easily. It's not a major problem—I simply pick it up and continue using it—but it could definitely use a more secure attachment method. Additionally, after wearing the brace for extended periods, a few of the Velcro edges can start to rub against my wrist, thumb, and hand, causing a little irritation. I've been able to fold those edges back to solve the issue, but a softer edge treatment would make an already great product even better.

Overall, though, these are very minor complaints. The brace has performed exactly as I hoped, has made my recovery easier, and has worked flawlessly alongside my cold therapy system. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone going through shoulder surgery recovery.

Was recommended this for my ankle surgery two years ago. I got one then and was amazed at how much relief it provides without being complicated. Decided to get a newer one to help with recovery after work. Once again, I feel extra rejuvenated and ready for the next day after every use.

I purchased this machine after a friend of mine loaned me theirs. I am approaching the stage of knee replacement on my left leg and unfortunately I had surgery on my right foot with a six week non weight bearing recovery. I used the machine on my left knee due to pain from overuse. It is so much better than an ice pack and lasts for hours. I did not use on my surgical foot but may when I transition to weight bearing. It is worth the cost. I may purchase other attachment (s) to have options for other configurations. I am currently using the knee attachment and love it.

This is the best brace I have had. I do not have an ACL or MCL issues. But I do have tendonitis in my knees. This brace has helped me get through the rough grasses without any pain

I buy universal foam filters for my burg cold cube. Customer service was exceptional. They double check my order, answered all my questions and got product out quickly. I will definitely check with them the next time I need parts.

Very comfortable to wear and easy to use. Only one fault is no timer on the system. I had to use a different unit for night time that had a rotation I could set for either 10-20 minutes on and a 10-30 minutes off. Wished your unit had been able to do this.

I had TKR last month and use the machine daily! It is a life-saver. I really recommend if having any kind of joint replacement!!

Could be colder

The Breg Polar Care Wave is a great ice / compression device. The ankle compression pad had a small tear and when I contacted Ortho Bracing they asked for a picture and sent me another one. Thank you!

The surgeon was so happy we had the product, he incorporated the sleeve in the series of protective wraps. The cooling is absolutely critical. Our granddaughter is a rising college athlete. This purchase will help substantially in her recovery.

Brace showed up as advertised.

I really like this ice machine, I wish it was capable with my old pad, but its not.
