Product delivered quickly. Using post TKR. Convenient and stays cold. The compression is nice to have as well. Using frozen bottles of water and only need to change once during the day.

I am very happy with this product. After total knee replacement, it has been a godsend in keeping the surgery site iced. I now mostly use it at night, which allows for continuous icing as I sleep. The motor is super quiet. I also ordered the ice bags to use, rather than always having to buy bags of ice at the store, and those work well (freeze them early before use as they take a while to completely freeze given their bulkiness). Two words of caution: the sponge filter in the cone on the hood which draws the water up into the tubes is very tiny and you need to be careful not to lose it while cleaning the unit; the wrap that goes around the leg either got plugged up or otherwise stopped working on a unit that was rented from a medical supply place, but in all fairness, who knows how long it had been in use. The wraps can be purchased separately if needed. Again, real happy and worth the investment in the Breg Polar Care Kodiak!

Exactly what I needed for post-op healing of a Left TKR.

It's true, this product will definitely help you cut down or completely come off pain meds after surgery. I am almost 2 weeks post op from a shoulder bicep tenodesis and I had my labrum repaired with 4 anchors into the bone. Nothing has given me relief until the Breg polar care cube. If you are thinking about it, it is worth it! It is a little difficult to strap by yourself - but I have found that it works just as well even if it is not strapped on

I had a Total Knee Replacement 8 months ago and rehab was going slow. Found out I also have a Posterlateral Corner tear I’ve been walking around on for 2 years. Still needing that fixed.

I did a ton of research to find something to stabilize my knee and the DonJoy Playmaker II kept coming up. Best $200 spent!! This brace truly supports my knee for the mess of ligament damage but is perfect to not hinder a new knee. I wear a compression sleeve under it and it’s never slipped down. The material is a God send and doesn’t smell terrible as I work outside and sweat a lot.

For a “off the shelf” brace, this is amazing!!

Purchased the Breg Polar unit as part of our recovery for hip replacements. The unit was easy to set up, and very effective in administering continuous ice cold treatment.
The unit was a bit pricy, however, we knew it would be used on different occasions. I would recommend Breg Polar Unit.

The Breg Polar Care Cube (I call it an ICE BUCKET), is a 'Jim-Dandy' real pain and swelling reliever. In our case it was purchased to relieve pain and swelling, post-knee-replacement surgery. It works VERY well. A full bucket lasts us up to about 6 hrs. which is a good amount of ice therapy time.

The machine is very quiet and easy to maintain (easy to fill, implement and empty). Be sure to have plenty of ICE because it holds more than you may think. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a couple bags of ice from them. A bag the size we have, here, will fill the BUCKET twice.

While using the ICE BUCKET, the dressing (portion fitting over the knee, in our case), can get wet due to condensation. If your surgery wound is not covered with a water-proof bandage, already, I recommend placing a plastic sleeve like a gallon-size baggie or kitchen plastic wrap between the Polar Care Cube's dressing and your wound's bandage so as to keep your wound dressing dry.

The ICE BUCKET was only needed, in our case, for about 3 days, or so, post-surgery and THEN AGAIN, post-rehab therapy, to help with post-exercise pain. Your body should be able to 'tell' you when you need it...

After my rotator cuff/bicep reattachment surgery, I woke up in a sling that was very uncomfortable. After a few days, I had a neighbor come over, who is a charge nurse at Texas Orthopedic Hospital, to see if I was wearing it wrong. She told me that they use Donjoy exclusively and showed me the instructions for putting on, etc. I saw the shoulder ring design and jumped online right away to order! Shipping was only a couple of days, and what a difference in comfort! I told my surgeon as well as my physical therapist all about it, and if I ever know anyone else having this procedure, I'll definitely be sharing my grateful experience with them!
