The Theratrac Glide Cervical Traction Unit (by PMT) is a top-of-the-line cervical traction device.

The Theratrac Glide focuses on healing any neck pain while maintaining user comfort.

The traction system utilizes cables connected to a track which smoothly moves your head up and down. The user can control the amount of traction by using the dial attached to the device. This unit is similar to the Saunders Cervical Traction Device yet costs much less which is a win:win. 

Compared to over-the-door and inflatable traction devices, the Theratrac Glide does not constrict your head and neck because of the adjustable foam neck pads.

The Theratrac Glide Cervical Traction Unit alleviates neck tension, tightness, and pain while delivering it with maximum user comfort. The Cervical Traction system is operated by an easy to use dial which controls the cable system to increase or decrease head elevation smoothly. The cable system always ensures a comfortable transition because the neck is at a 30-degree angle and is not constricted in any way, unlike an over-the-door or inflation system.

The neck pad width can be adjusted to fit the unique shape of your body by twisting the knobs on the sides of the device. While using the device, lay in a supine position flat on your back and it is recommended to have your legs elevated.

This device is entirely user-controlled with an easy-read gauge measuring units in both pounds and kilograms, as well as 3 adjustable angles (15, 20 and 25-degree angles); ensuring a personalized healing experience for each patient. The device comes already assembled and no further assembly is needed.

INSTRUCTIONS

Here are the steps to follow when using the Traction Device. The steps are divided into three main stages: preparation, applying, and cleaning the cervical traction.

PREPARE FOR TRACTION 

In the first stage, find a comfortable place, preferably a firm surface and lie down. Separate the wedges as you adjust them to ensure your neck is placed between them. Then, loosen the head strap and set the device to an angle recommended by your doctor. Finally, use a timer to help you get the best results as per your treatment. 

APPLY TRACTION 

In this stage, lie down in a comfortable position such that your neck is in between the neck wedges and your head on the head pad. Note that as you settle your body into the device, the wedges may slightly adjust or rotate. Be sure to adjust the wedges by turning the knobs to ensure your neck has no discomfort.

Fit the headband by securing it tightly around your head and over your forehead. Lastly, switch on the harness pump and apply traction. 

CLEAN THE TRACTION DEVICE AFTER USE

After using the TheraTrac traction device, it’s recommended that you use a disinfectant to clean the surfaces. Avoid immersing the device in water.

Most importantly, if multiple persons use the device, be sure to clean it thoroughly after use. Focus on areas that are in constant contact with your body, such as the neck wedges. You can use a new head pad or strap to avoid sharing.

HOW TO MAINTAIN THE THERATRAC GLIDE CERVICAL TRACTION DEVICE?

To maintain the traction device, clean it using suitable disinfectants as recommended by the manufacturer. Also, please place it in a safe place and avoid dipping it in water.

Yes. You can use the traction device to alleviate back pain but consult your doctor first to get a correct prescription.

HOW FREQUENT SHOULD I USE THE CERVICAL TRACTION DEVICE?

There are different types of neck pains depending on the severity and cause. It’s best to consult with your doctor to know how frequently you can use your traction device for effective results. 

HOW LONG SHOULD I USE THE THERATRAC TRACTION DEVICE?

There’s no standard time as to how long you should use the traction device. It depends on your doctor’s orders and prescription. Be sure to consult your doctor before using this device, but you can start with a ten-minute interval to see how it works. 

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR CERVICAL TRACTION?

Persons of any age can use cervical traction devices. However, it’s best to check with your doctor to verify if your condition can be treated using a traction device. Persons with inflammatory diseases, malignancy, fracture and spine instability shouldn’t use the traction devices. 

DOES THE THERATRAC CERVICAL TRACTION DEVICE HAVE A WARRANTY?

Yes. The traction has a warranty period of one year. Within that period, a replacement for a malfunctioning part or unit can get issued. However, note that you cannot return the device due to the medical nature of the product.

WARRANTY

Almost all products sold on OrthoBracing.com are available for warranty replacement, if defective. If you have a question about the return eligibility of a particular product please submit a warranty claim form.

We reserve the right to limit multiple requests for warranty replacement on products that are deemed damaged by customer misuse, abuse, or failure to properly maintain the equipment to manufacturers' specifications.

LOST PACKAGE POLICY

  • Packages that show delivered via tracking number are not eligible for refunds. We ask that you please check with your neighbors and other occupants before submitting a claim.  Packages can often be recovered or located by the carrier via a claim. Please contact the appropriate carrier to start a claim.  FedEx- 1-800-463-3339; USPS- Local post office phone number; UPS 1-800-742-5877.  If the carrier determines that the package is lost, please contact us with your case number so that we can investigate further and assist you. 

EXCHANGES

Orders made by mistake (i.e. a left instead of a right, medium instead of a large, Breg Polar Care Cube pad vs. Breg Kodiak Pad, etc.) are eligible for an exchange if the incorrect size or item was ordered.

All items must be in NEW condition to be exchanged (they cannot be used; plastic bag must be sealed for all cold therapy pads).  There is no restocking fee but a return shipping fee will apply if OrthoBracing.com is asked to send a return label. Before shipping any product back, you must first obtain an authorization number (RA#) via email at the following address: CS@OrthoBracing.com.

RETURNS

To qualify for a return/refund, product(s) must be in the original, UNOPENED, manufacturer's packaging. We cannot accept opened packages, with no exceptions. In the case that a product is sent back to us opened, the possibility of a refund will be void. Orthobracing.com places a label on certain items that are not in sealed packages by the manufacturer for the safety of our customers. Returned items with this label must be intact (not cut) to receive a refund. If this label has been removed or tampered with, the possibility of a refund will be void. 

Returns are accepted if returned within 14-days of delivery, are in NEW / UNUSED condition, are in their original packaging with documentation and the blue security tape is still 100% intact. If all conditions are met, a 25% restocking fee will apply. A restocking fee will apply on all returns, with no exceptions. 

Because cold therapy products come in contact with incisions after orthopedic surgery and use municipal water, we have to make the assumption that once they leave our facility they have been used. We cannot, in good faith, ship this type of merchandise to another patient and have them bear the increased risk of getting an infection. For you as a customer, we want you to know that all cold therapy products coming from our warehouse have not been used by another customer in any manner. All sales final on cold therapy products. Cold therapy machines and pads are not returnable, if there is an issue with performance of your products, you are eligible for a warranty replacement.

Before shipping any product back, you must first obtain an authorization number (RA#) via email at the following address: returns@OrthoBracing.com. The RA# must be written on the packing slip inside the box. Do not write RA# on product boxes and do not put return label on manufacturer’s packaging. Please ship returns in a study box.

OrthoBracing.com will not be responsible for lost return packages.  Please provide tracking numbers via email if the sender is shipping back. Otherwise, OrthoBracing will send you a return shipping label and the cost of that shipping will be deducted from the refund. 

Do not refuse the delivery of your order. Refunds will not be issued for refused shipments.

Quality Issues

Looks like this was a returned product. There were black scuff markings at the top of the unit and a small slice in the casing of the cable. Knowing the very strict no return policy, I’m guessing that you’ll want me to live with it and probably don’t want that in a review.

Hi Steve, We have these products shipped directly from the manufacturer so these are brand new units. If your product suffers from any type of defficiency of use, meaning it does not function, we would be happy to replace it for you.

I was very disappointed with this device, I attempted to return it but my request was denied. I had previously borrowed the Saunders Cervical Traction Device from a friend and found it very beneficial. It fit comfortably. The movement on the tract was very smooth and easy to adjust, and it provided an excellent stretch to my cervical spine. Your device does not fit my neck comfortably and the manual dial produces a rickety movement, and most disappointing; an inadequate stretch to my cervical spine. I really regret purchasing it. I should have spent the extra $150 and bought the Saunders unit, but I guess you get what you pay for.
